lesson i learned in therapy today: forgiveness does not mean you’re saying something is ok, it means you’re letting something go and moving on. forgiveness has literally nothing to do with the other person, it only means that you’re letting go of the anger you have towards them, regardless of the fact that what they did was wrong. forgive for yourself, not for the other person.
